Moorby

Located 1.5km northwest of Moorby village adjacent to a trackway called Holme Wood Lane was the 83 acre (33 ha) site known as Moorby Landing Ground. The site, which had two landing strips of 700 and 570 yards (640 and 521 m) was used by 38 (HD) Squadron from December 1916 until May 1918. Later in 1918 it was used by 90 (HD) Squadron until June 1919.

The site today is farmland.
